Russia, a veto-wielding member of the U.N. Security Council, will not permit no-fly zones to be imposed over Syria, Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Monday. "I think we fundamentally will not allow this scenario," Lukashevich stated at a news briefing, adding that calls for a no-fly zone showed disrespect for international law.

Israel used depleted uranium shells in alleged strike in Syria a senior Syrian military source told Russia Today..

Depleted uranium is a byproduct of the production of enriched uranium for use in nuclear reactors. It is 2.5 times as dense as steel, which allows it to penetrate heavy protection. The material is known to be toxic, but not dangerously radioactive.

Syrian state television claimed the bombing occurred around a military research facility at Jamraya. The New York Times reported that the strike also targeted the bases of the elite Republican Guard and storehouses of long-range missiles.

A Western intelligence source told Reuters the attack targeted "stores of Fateh-110 missiles that were in transit from Iran to Hezbollah," while a senior Hezbollah source denied to Kuwaiti daily Alrai on Monday that the weapons targeted belonged to his organization.

Another high-ranking Syrian military source told the Times that dozens of elite troops stationed near the presidential palace in Damascus were killed in the Israel strike.

A doctor at the Syrian military's Tishreen Hospital said there were at least 100 dead soldiers and many dozens more wounded, the Times reported.

Israel Did not Notify US of Bombing Mission in Syria

Israel informed the United States of the preemptive counter terrorist operation after the attacks.

President Barack Obama gave Israel his full support Saturday, stating that Israel's right to defend itself necessitates it to prevent Hezbollah getting its hands on the Iranian Fateh-110 missies that can reach deep into Israel from southern Lebanon.

The Scottish National party, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party have just written to the BBC to complain about the inclusion of the politicians on last night's Question Time.

The BBC has confirmed that the parties have all sent letters of complaint to BBC director general Tony Hall about Farage and Galloway's appearances in the latest edition of the current affairs show, which was filmed in Edinburgh and was meant to be dedicated to the issue of Scottish independence.

The parties all argue that since neither UKIP nor Galloway's Respect party have any seats in Scotland, they should not have been on last night's show.

Scottish Greens Co-convener Patrick Harvie MSP said that he had spoken to the programme's editor about the "bizarre" choice of panelists: "It is clear to me that this programme has been contrived to deliver sensationalist confrontation, rather than serious debate. The lack of balance is staggering and I know from comments we've received it's not just Green supporters who are alarmed.

"The BBC has shown serious misjudgement in allowing tonight's programme to go ahead and we look forward to meeting senior managers to discuss how they intend to rectify a situation that will have harmed the broadcaster's reputation for fairness."

The programme was recorded in Edinburgh in front of an audience of 16- and 17-year-olds, an age group being given a vote for the first time in next year's independence referendum.

The BBC defended its panel selection, issuing a statement which said: "The programme aimed to provide its unique audience of 16 and 17 year olds with as broad a range of political opinion as possible, while offering a UK-wide audience at home a varied and interesting political and current affairs debate.

"Nigel Farage represents a party with growing UK support and their recent electoral gains since the 2010 general election makes them of interest to our audience. The Question Time panel is chosen carefully across the series and the Green party has appeared on the programme twice in the last four months. The Scottish Greens will be invited to appear on the programme in a future edition recorded in Scotland."

A balanced, rational, intelligent being from space could only surmise that as a species we had gone clinically insane.

Edgar Mitchell an astronaut talked about when he stood on the moon and looked at earth, and had a huge awakening. He said it hit him all at once that everything that had ever happened in our history happened on that little blue disc about the size of a 50 cent coin, all the wars, famines, and struggle. When he returned to earth he left NASA and began helping people find peace and transformation.

Imagine for a moment that a more developed species of beings were watching us from another planet for the first time that had no conception of work, money, bills, being in debt, having to have money to pay for everything you need.

They would see the sun lighting up each city around the world, city by city as the sun’s light moved across the earth. As they watched each city come to life at around 6 or 7 o’clock they would see people on buses, in cars and traffic jams, people running, pushing and shoving all getting somewhere, and very few people looking happy, very few smiles, and a general feeling of panic and dread.

Imagine these balanced, developed, intelligent beings watching as people frantically scrambled, pushing and shoving to get to these different places before 8 or 9 o’ clock, as if their lives depended on it, which of course in this system they do.

As they watched each city around the world waking up to this same pattern of behaviour, of an insane, ruthless scramble, they would wonder what we were doing, where we were going and why. Suppose they stopped one of the rushing people on their way to work and asked them where they were going, the conversation might go like this:

Where are you all rushing to? Out of my way I haven’t got time!

No please I am from another planet I need to know what all this madness means?

We are all going to work.

What’s work? It’s what everyone does, we have to do it.

Why? Because we have to make money.

What’s money? It’s what you need to survive.

What is it though? It’s paper sheets cut into squares, with numbers printed on them, the bigger the number the more its worth. The more you’ve got, the more you can get, the better your life is.

What do you do with it?

The people you work for give it to you, in exchange for your life, we buy food, pay bills and pay to live in a house with it.

You have to pay for all that? Yes

Who prints the money?

The government.

Why don’t you print your own money?

It’s illegal you would be taken to prison.

What’s prison?

It’s where the government puts you if you break the law. In a cell.

What is the government?

It’s the people who make laws and tell us what to do.

Why don’t you make your own rules?

It is illegal and we don’t know how to anymore they always do that.

Do you enjoy your jobs? Most people no.

Then why do you do them? Because we have to or we can’t get money.

You don’t really have to you could say no?

Yes but if I say no I will have no food, can’t feed my children and have nowhere to live and probably die.

Why don’t you grow your own food?

I don’t know how, I don’t know where, and I haven’t got time I am in work all the time.

This sounds like slavery?

Yes I suppose it is.

I met a woman recently, and was amazed at a story she told me. One day when she was driving to work when someone jumped into the back of her car and said ‘get out I’m taking your car’ with a gun pressed to her head’.

She spontaneously said ‘I can’t I am late for work’!

That sums things up really, I laughed as she told me, and it is a tragicomic story which puts our predicament into perspective.

Man Behind Syrian 'Chemical Weapons' Claim Is Fiction Writer Who Ran Benghazi Cover-Up

Ben Rhodes, the White House national security advisor behind the claim that President Bashar Al-Assad used chemical weapons in Syria, is a fiction writer with zero educational background in government, diplomacy or national security who also played a key role in covering up the truth behind the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi.

Yesterday, Rhodes announced that the White House had "high confidence" that the Syrian Army had used chemical weapons, providing no evidence, and that the Obama administration would now take steps to arm FSA rebels, who as has been widely documented are being led by Al-Qaeda terrorists who killed U.S. troops in Iraq. The Wall Street Journal also reports that a no fly zone is being prepared that would embroil the United States in yet another war.

35-year-old Rhodes has been a speechwriter for Obama since 2007 and now enjoys the role of deputy national security adviser for strategic communication. He created the infamous term "kinetic military action" to describe the bombardment of Libya which allowed Obama to skirt around the constitutional question of having to declare war.

Rhodes' expertise revolves around manufacturing narratives. "He earned a master's degree in fiction-writing from New York University just a few years ago," writes Ed Lansky. "He did not have a degree in government, diplomacy, national security; nor has he served in the CIA, or the military. He was toiling away not that long ago on a novel called 'The Oasis of Love" about a mega church in Houston, a dog track, and a failed romance."

As Stephen Hayes documents in a lengthy Weekly Standard piece, Rhodes was instrumental in altering CIA talking points to delete references to Islamic terrorists being involved in the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, setting the foundation for the Obama administration's cover-up of the incident by claiming the siege was a demonstration against an anti-Muslim film. This was an attempt to hide the fact that the White House had supported Al-Qaeda terrorists in the overthrow of Gaddafi, just as they are now doing in Syria.

Rhodes can also count on the support of the US corporate media in selling fairytales about chemical weapons, since his brother David is the president of CBS News.

In addition, the innumerable examples of Obama-backed Syrian rebels obtaining and using chemical weapons - including the recent discovery by Turkish police of 2kg of sarin nerve gas in the hands of Al-Nusra terrorists -- have been conveniently swept aside.

The question of why the Syrian Army, which has been achieving battlefield victories via conventional means for months, would use chemical weapons on a limited scale with no appreciable advantage other than to draw international condemnation and a pretext for US involvement, remains unanswered.

In pledging to increase military support for Syrian rebels and preparing a no fly zone, the Obama administration is openly aiding terrorists who have sworn allegiance to Al-Qaeda.

- Immediately after the State Department declared Jabhat al-Nusra a terrorist organization, 29 different FSA rebel outfits pledged allegiance to the Al-Qaeda group.

- FSA rebels have vowed to "fight the U.S." once they finish with Bashar Al-Assad.

- FSA rebels have been filmed burning US and Israeli flags on more than one occasion.

- FSA rebels have been filmed singing songs that glorify Osama Bin Laden and the 9/11 attacks.

In the first half, George was joined by comedian, actor, writer, and filmmaker, Bobcat Goldthwait, for a discussion of his new film which delves into the world of Bigfoot. The film, called Willow Creek, follows a couple (a documentary maker and his girlfriend), who are trying to find the location where Patterson & Gimlin shot their famous Bigfoot film in 1967. Using a found footage technique, the film portrays a lot of the elements and evidence that have been cited in Bigfoot cases, and mixes a 'mockumentary' style using both real people and actors, with some genuine scares, and suspense.

Shooting in the Trinity National Forest in Northern California, Goldthwait was amazed at how large and dense the area was. "You really get this idea of how many millions of acres are completely unexplored-- we lose planes in these areas-- and they don't find the planes," he remarked. The film employs chilling Bigfoot vocalizations similar to what actual witnesses have reported. Goldthwait also talked about some of the other films he directed, including the dark satire God Bless America, World's Greatest Dad, and Shakes the Clown, which Martin Scorsese called "the Citizen Kane of alcoholic clown movies."

In the latter half, researcher and radio host Don Ecker opined on various intriguing UFO cases and related mysteries. Washington's decision to arm Syria's Sunni Muslim rebels has plunged America into the great Sunni-Shia conflict of the Islamic Middle East, entering a struggle that now dwarfs the Arab revolutions which overthrew dictatorships across the region.

For the first time, all of America's 'friends' in the region are Sunni Muslims and all of its enemies are Shiites. Breaking all President Barack Obama's rules of disengagement, the US is now fully engaged on the side of armed groups which include the most extreme Sunni Islamist movements in the Middle East.

The Independent on Sunday has learned that a military decision has been taken in Iran -- even before last week's presidential election -- to send a first contingent of 4,000 Iranian Revolutionary Guards to Syria to support President Bashar al-Assad's forces against the largely Sunni rebellion that has cost almost 100,000 lives in just over two years.

Iran is now fully committed to preserving Assad's regime, according to pro-Iranian sources which have been deeply involved in the Islamic Republic's security, even to the extent of proposing to open up a new 'Syrian' front on the Golan Heights against Israel.

Former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas said that Britain had been preparing gunmen to invade Syria two years before the crisis there flared up in 2011.

During a TV show, Dumas said "I was in Britain two years ago, and I met British officials, some my friends...they admitted that they were up to something in Syria."

"They even asked me to join them in my capacity as a foreign minister, but I declined," he added.

He indicated that the plan of striking Syria had been prepared in advance long before the 2011 events, adding that the goal was to overthrow the Syrian government that considers Israel an enemy.

The TV show was dedicated to discussing the war in Syria.

Well emotions by themself are not "irrational", not all emotional feelings are irrational, it's just that our brain was evolved 30 000 years ago and some concepts of reality which we regularly use today is not properly solved with emotions. Emotion can be irrational because it is not based on reason for it's conclusion but the evolved "instincts" (wouldn't really call them that) that helped us survive and strive.
