Mid-Atlantic residents were buried Saturday from a likely record-setting blizzard the president jokingly called "Snowmageddon," and those brave enough tried to clear a path through the wet, heavy mounds of thigh-high snow. (Feb. 6)

More Fraud on Wall Street

New Yorks attorney general filed fraud charges against Bank of America, its former CEO Ken Lewis and CFO Joseph Price alleging that they conspired to mislead shareholders and federal regulators about the decrepit state of Merrill Lynch before Bank of America acquired the bank in the fall of 2008. Immediately after the acquisition, Bank of America suddenly unveiled something approaching the true condition of Merrill, which necessitated a $20 billion bailout by taxpayers.

Iran launches space probe The world is shaking !

Tehran has successfully launched a probe into space - with two turtles, a hamster and a worm on board.

Iran also plans to unveil three new satellites on Wednesday - all part its ambitious independent space programme - which coincides with celebrations of the country's 31st Islamic revolution anniversary.

The development is a great concern to the US who fears that the country's nuclear programme is at a threateningly advanced stage.
